Travel around Copenhagen with Bobby
I decided to visit Copenhagen because it’s a city that beautifully blends history, modernity, and sustainability. I’ve always been drawn to places that are not only visually stunning but also eco-conscious, and Copenhagen truly stands out in that regard. The city’s bike-friendly streets and green spaces made it easy for me to get around while soaking in the sights. As a food lover, the culinary scene here, with its Michelin-starred restaurants and charming cafes, was a huge draw. Plus, the mix of Danish design and historical landmarks, like the Little Mermaid and Tivoli Gardens, felt like the perfect balance for a city break. It’s the kind of place where you can immerse yourself in both culture and relaxation, which is exactly what I was looking for.
Day 1Discovering the Heart of Copenhagen
My first day in Copenhagen started bright and early with a visit to the Nyhavn, the iconic harbor lined with colorful buildings, cafes, and boats. The morning light reflecting off the canals made it the perfect spot for photos, and I couldn’t resist strolling along the quay, imagining the sailors from centuries ago who passed through here. After soaking in the atmosphere, I headed towards Amalienborg Palace, the home of the Danish royal family. I managed to catch the changing of the guards, which was a spectacular and very regal experience.
By noon, I was ready for lunch, and I headed to Restaurant Schønnemann, one of the best spots for smørrebrød, the traditional Danish open-faced sandwich. It was the perfect way to try a variety of Danish delicacies. Later, I wandered through Strøget, one of Europe’s longest pedestrian streets, where I could shop for both high-end Danish design and quirky boutiques. The mix of history and modern shopping was incredible. My day ended with a serene visit to Tivoli Gardens, an enchanting amusement park that dates back to 1843, offering both rides and beautiful gardens. I couldn’t help but enjoy the light-hearted atmosphere, even if I wasn’t in the mood for rides.
Copenhagen’s blend of historic and modern attractions is simply stunning. Start your day early to make the most of the city's top sites, and be sure to visit Tivoli at night – it’s magical.

Day 2Royal Palaces, Culture, and Danish Cuisine
Day two in Copenhagen was all about embracing the city’s royal history and culture. I kicked off the day with a visit to Rosenborg Castle, a stunning Renaissance building that houses Denmark’s crown jewels. The castle itself, set in the heart of King’s Garden, was a perfect spot for a morning walk. I marveled at the intricate architecture and got a glimpse of royal life through the centuries.
Lunch was at Torvehallerne, a food market where I found the best of Danish delicacies, including fresh herring and local cheeses. I had the chance to try Danish pastries at La Glace, one of Copenhagen’s oldest patisseries, and it was as delicious as it was famous. Afterward, I visited the National Gallery of Denmark, which showcases an impressive collection of Danish art, from classic pieces to contemporary works. The museum’s calm atmosphere was the perfect contrast to the busy city streets.
In the evening, I had a dinner reservation at Noma, one of the world’s best restaurants. Although pricey, it was an experience of its own, focusing on local ingredients prepared in creative ways. After dinner, I wandered over to Vesterbro, the trendy district known for its cool bars and lively nightlife. I ended the night at The Barking Dog, a local bar with an inviting, laid-back vibe.
Lunch at Torvehallerne was a fantastic experience, with a wide range of fresh, local delicacies. The vibrant market atmosphere added to the enjoyment, and the pastries from La Glace were absolutely delicious.

I stayed at Nimb Hotel, an opulent and historic hotel in Tivoli Gardens that offers luxury accommodations and impeccable service. The hotel’s architecture and proximity to the park made it a truly unique stay.
Accomodation
The day’s activities, from visiting Rosenborg Castle and the National Gallery to dining at Noma and exploring the nightlife in Vesterbro, provided a perfect balance of culture, history, and entertainment. Every stop felt like an essential part of the Copenhagen experience.
Activity
Exploring Copenhagen’s royal history and art scene was fascinating. For a top-notch food experience, Noma is a must – but be prepared to splurge.

On my last day, I decided to take it slow and enjoy Copenhagen’s parks, gardens, and easy-going vibe. I started the day with a peaceful walk through Frederiksberg Gardens, a massive park with lakes, tree-lined paths, and even a few peacocks roaming around. It was the perfect way to unwind and enjoy the beauty of nature. From there, I made my way to Copenhagen’s Botanical Garden, where I admired the vast variety of plants and took in the peaceful surroundings.
For lunch, I opted for something casual at Café Norden, a beloved spot offering a variety of Danish sandwiches and comforting dishes. It was a great place to relax and watch the world go by. In the afternoon, I decided to take a canal tour to see Copenhagen from a different perspective. As we cruised along the waterways, I could see both the modern and historic aspects of the city, including stunning views of Christiansborg Palace.
The day ended with a visit to Kødbyen, the trendy meatpacking district, which has turned into one of the coolest spots in the city for nightlife, restaurants, and galleries. I enjoyed a relaxed dinner at Restaurant LêLê, offering Vietnamese street food, before having one last drink at Mother, a cozy pizza place that was bustling with energy.
Cafe Norden provided the perfect casual lunch with delicious Danish sandwiches. The relaxed ambiance and central location made it an ideal spot to refuel after a day of sightseeing.
