Day 4Hiking and a Quiet Farewell
For my final day, I ventured into Bergen’s beautiful outdoors. I rode the Ulriken643 cable car up to Mount Ulriken, the tallest of Bergen’s seven mountains. The views from the top were even more dramatic than those from Mount Fløyen, and the challenging hiking trails made the experience both invigorating and rewarding.
After a morning of hiking, I enjoyed a hearty meal at Pingvinen, a cozy restaurant famous for its traditional Norwegian comfort food. Their meatballs with mashed potatoes were exactly what I needed to refuel after an active start to the day. It was a comforting and satisfying meal, perfect for such an adventurous day.
In the afternoon, I took a leisurely walk through Bergen’s charming streets, browsing local shops and picking up a few souvenirs. The relaxed pace allowed me to soak in the city’s atmosphere one last time. It was the perfect way to end my time in Bergen, balancing outdoor adventure with urban charm.

If you love hiking, Mount Ulriken offers a more rugged experience than Fløyen. And Pingvinen is the perfect place to recharge with classic Norwegian comfort food.
