Travel around Dubai with Bobby
Day 1Soaring Above Dubai from Burj Khalifa
On my first day in Dubai, I couldn’t resist the allure of the world’s tallest building—Burj Khalifa. As soon as I arrived, I took the high-speed elevator up to the 148th-floor observation deck, and the view was nothing short of breathtaking. From that height, you can see the sprawling cityscape below, the desert stretching far into the horizon, and the shimmering Persian Gulf in the distance. It felt like I was on top of the world, and the panoramic views made me appreciate Dubai’s modern architecture and ambition. The mix of towering skyscrapers and the desert beyond is a contrast you rarely see anywhere else.
After soaking in the views, I made my way to Dubai Mall, which was just a short walk away. This mall is not just a shopping destination; it’s an entire experience. With over 1,200 stores, an indoor ice rink, and even an aquarium, it’s like a city within a city. I spent hours wandering through its many levels, taking in the luxury boutiques and quirky stores. As evening fell, I found a spot near the Dubai Fountain to watch the iconic water show. With music, lights, and water jets shooting up to 140 meters, it was a spectacular end to my first day. I stayed at the Address Boulevard Hotel, which was perfect for easy access to all the main attractions and offered incredible comfort after a long day of exploration.
Visit Burj Khalifa early in the morning to avoid the crowds and enjoy uninterrupted views. For dinner, explore the traditional Arab cuisine at restaurants within Dubai Mall—authentic and full of flavor.

Day 2Adventure in the Heart of the Desert
On my second day, I was eager for some adventure, so I signed up for a desert safari. The anticipation built as we drove out of the city, watching the skyline shrink in the rearview mirror, and the golden dunes come into focus. The 4×4 ride through the desert was an adrenaline rush like no other—dune bashing is not for the faint-hearted! The driver expertly navigated the steep hills and valleys of the sand, making the car feel like it was gliding over waves. Every twist and turn brought a surge of excitement, and I couldn’t help but laugh with the sheer joy of the experience.
We stopped at a traditional Bedouin camp, where the pace slowed down, and I got a glimpse into the local culture. I rode a camel for the first time, which was a surprisingly calm experience, and later, I relaxed by smoking shisha in a cozy tent. As the sun set, the camp transformed into a magical setting. We were treated to a barbecue dinner under the stars, accompanied by traditional dance performances, including the mesmerizing belly dance and the whirling tanoura show. It was a perfect balance of adventure and cultural immersion, leaving me with a deeper appreciation for Dubai’s desert heritage. After a long and thrilling day, I returned to the comfort of my hotel, feeling both exhilarated and at peace.
The barbecue dinner in the desert was a highlight, with freshly grilled meats and a wide selection of local dishes. Eating under the stars, while watching traditional performances, added a unique and authentic touch. The food was good, though not particularly exceptional.

Returning to the hotel after the safari felt like a welcome retreat. The staff ensured I had everything I needed for a comfortable night after a long day of adventure. The comfort and service at Address Boulevard remained top-notch.

Day 3 A Day at the Beach and Beyond
After two action-packed days, I decided to slow things down on my third day and soak up some sunshine at Jumeirah Beach. The soft, white sands and calm, crystal-clear waters offered the perfect setting to unwind. I spent the morning simply relaxing on the beach, letting the gentle breeze and rhythmic waves wash away any remaining tension from the previous days. The iconic Burj Al Arab loomed majestically in the distance, making for a stunning backdrop to an already picturesque scene. By lunchtime, I was ready for a culinary treat, so I headed to Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The fresh seafood was cooked to perfection, and the view from the restaurant added a touch of elegance to the whole dining experience.
In the afternoon, I made my way to Atlantis The Palm, one of Dubai’s most famous resorts. I spent hours at Aquaventure Waterpark, where the rides were thrilling and the lazy river provided a more relaxing way to cool off. Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie or just looking for a leisurely float, there’s something for everyone here. As the sun set, I strolled along Dubai Marina, a bustling area filled with restaurants, cafés, and a vibrant nightlife scene. The atmosphere was electric, with people from all walks of life enjoying the evening under the glow of the Marina’s skyscrapers.
Fresh seafood at Jumeirah Beach Hotel was delicious and well-prepared. The restaurant’s ambiance, overlooking the Burj Al Arab, made the meal even more enjoyable. However, it was quite pricey for what you get.
Food
The hotel maintained its high standards, providing all the luxury comforts you could ask for. I loved how central it was to the beach and Marina, making it easy to explore without hassle. The service was impeccable, as always.

Day 4Discovering Old Dubai’s Hidden Treasures
On my fourth day, I wanted to explore the older, more traditional side of Dubai. I began my day with a ride on an abra, a traditional wooden boat that ferries passengers across Dubai Creek. The ride itself was charming, offering a glimpse into the city’s rich maritime history. Once across the creek, I stepped into the Gold and Spice Souks—two of Dubai’s most famous traditional markets. Walking through the narrow alleys, I was captivated by the glittering gold jewelry on display and the exotic spices filling the air with their rich, heady aromas. Each stall seemed to tell a story, and I found myself drawn to the vibrant energy of the place.
I spent the afternoon bargaining for souvenirs, which was a fun experience in itself. The souks are a stark contrast to the modern malls of Dubai, offering a more authentic and traditional shopping experience. For dinner, I ventured into the Deira district and dined at a local restaurant serving traditional Arabic dishes. The food was hearty and full of flavor, and the restaurant had a relaxed, welcoming vibe. Despite Dubai’s rapid modernization, I was reminded that the city hasn’t forgotten its roots. Exploring this part of Dubai felt like stepping back in time, a reminder of the city’s humble beginnings.
The meal at a local restaurant in Deira was filled with traditional flavors, and it gave me a deeper understanding of Emirati cuisine. The food was simple yet delicious, and much more affordable than in the city’s upscale areas. A real hidden gem.
Food
Address Boulevard continued to impress with its comfort and services, ensuring I had a great place to relax after a day in Old Dubai. The centralized location also helped me get around the city easily.
Accomodation
The abra ride and visit to the souks were wonderful. The authentic vibe and vibrant markets gave me a taste of what old Dubai was like. It was a cultural experience, far removed from the glitz and glamour of modern Dubai.
Activity
If shopping is your thing, don’t miss Trafford Centre. It’s a one-stop-shop for retail and entertainment all in one impressive location.

It’s home to some of the most luxurious hotels in the world, including Atlantis The Palm, where I spent my afternoon. First, I indulged in a lavish lunch at one of the resort’s fine dining restaurants, where the service was impeccable and the food was out of this world. Afterward, I explored the Lost Chambers Aquarium, a beautifully designed underwater wonderland filled with exotic marine life. Walking through the tunnels and seeing the ocean creatures up close was both relaxing and awe-inspiring.
As the evening approached, I made my way back to Dubai Marina for one last dinner. The view of the marina’s skyline lit up at night was nothing short of magical, making it the perfect spot for a farewell meal. The vibrant atmosphere, coupled with the high-end restaurants lining the waterfront, made me appreciate just how diverse and dynamic Dubai really is. It was the ideal way to wrap up my time in this incredible city—a blend of luxury, adventure, and culture that left a lasting impression.
The lunch at Atlantis The Palm was excellent, with a variety of gourmet options to choose from. The setting was beautiful, and the service was exceptional, making it feel like a true luxury dining experience.
