Travel around Dubrovnik with Bobby
Day 1Walking the Walls and a Taste of the Adriatic
I landed in Dubrovnik on a bright, sunny morning, and the first thing that struck me was the stunning contrast between the terracotta rooftops and the sparkling blue Adriatic Sea. My first stop had to be the iconic City Walls, one of Dubrovnik’s most famous attractions. As I climbed the stone steps and began walking the 2-kilometer stretch, I was blown away by the views of both the Old Town and the sea. I could see everything from up here—the narrow streets below, bustling with locals and tourists, and the serene coastline stretching out as far as the eye could see.
After soaking in the breathtaking views, I decided to grab lunch at Buža Bar, a cliffside gem tucked just outside the city walls. It’s a hidden spot, famous for its unbeatable views and relaxed vibe. Sitting with a cold drink in hand, gazing out over the Adriatic, I felt the full magic of Dubrovnik kick in.
In the evening, I wandered through Stradun, the Old Town’s main street, lined with historic buildings and cozy cafes. For dinner, I treated myself to a seafood feast at Restaurant Proto, where I tried the famous Black Risotto. The rich flavors of the sea combined with the freshness of the ingredients made for a perfect first dinner in Dubrovnik.
Walking the City Walls is a must-do, but go early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the midday heat. And don’t miss Buža Bar for a relaxed drink with a view!

Day 2Island Adventures and Sunset Delights
Today, I hopped on a quick ferry to Lokrum Island, a natural reserve just a 10-minute ride from Dubrovnik. Lokrum is like a little slice of paradise—peacocks roam freely, and the island is dotted with lush gardens, hidden beaches, and hiking trails. I spent my morning exploring the island’s botanical gardens and even took a dip in the Dead Sea, a saltwater lake that’s perfect for a refreshing swim.
By mid-afternoon, I was back in Dubrovnik and ready to catch the famous Dubrovnik Cable Car up to Mount Srđ. The ride up was thrilling, and the panoramic view from the top was absolutely worth it. From up here, you can see the entire Old Town, the sea, and the islands in the distance. I hung around until sunset and watched as the city below lit up in warm, golden hues.
Dinner tonight was at Panorama Restaurant, right at the top of the cable car station. With the best views in the city and delicious Mediterranean cuisine, it was the perfect end to the day.
At Panorama Restaurant atop Mount Srđ, I enjoyed a Mediterranean meal with the best views in Dubrovnik. The fresh seafood and well-crafted dishes paired perfectly with the sunset.

Day 3Game of Thrones and the Heart of Dubrovnik
As a Game of Thrones fan, today was all about exploring the show’s famous filming locations. I started with Fort Lovrijenac, known as the Red Keep in the series, and it didn’t disappoint. Standing on the fortress walls, I could picture the dramatic scenes that took place here. The views over the sea and the Old Town were spectacular, and the history of the fort itself is just as fascinating as its role in the series.
Next, I wandered back into the heart of Dubrovnik and explored some lesser-known spots like the Rector’s Palace and Sponza Palace, both offering insights into the city’s rich past. For lunch, I stopped at Taj Mahal, a restaurant that, despite its name, specializes in Bosnian cuisine. I tried their Ćevapi, small grilled sausages served with flatbread and fresh salad, which was absolutely delicious.
As evening fell, I checked out Dubrovnik’s vibrant nightlife. I headed to Culture Club Revelin, a nightclub built inside a 16th-century fortress. The atmosphere was electric, with international DJs playing all night, and dancing within the ancient stone walls was an unforgettable experience.

Day 4Beaches and a Farewell to Dubrovnik
My final day in Dubrovnik started with a relaxing morning at Banje Beach, the city’s most popular beach. With the Old Town as a backdrop, I couldn’t have asked for a better setting to swim, sunbathe, and soak in the last bit of sunshine before leaving. The crystal-clear water was refreshing, and the beach had plenty of family-friendly spots.
In the afternoon, I wandered through the Gundulić Square Market, picking up some local produce and souvenirs. The market is lively and filled with fresh fruits, olive oils, and handcrafted goods, making it a great spot to get a taste of local life.
I ended my day—and my trip—with dinner at Azur Dubrovnik, a tucked-away restaurant offering Mediterranean-Asian fusion. Their Octopus Salad was light, flavorful, and the perfect dish to close out my adventure in Dubrovnik.
