Travel around Kabul with Bobby
I decided to visit Kabul because I’ve always been drawn to destinations with rich history and resilience. Kabul, despite its challenges, has a unique blend of ancient culture and modern transformation that intrigued me. I wanted to experience the warmth of its people firsthand and explore the historic sites that have stood the test of time. Plus, there’s something about cities that are a bit off the beaten path—they offer authentic experiences you can’t find in more polished tourist spots. I knew this trip would be challenging, but that’s what makes it so rewarding.
I started with a simple lunch at a local eatery near Babur’s Gardens. The Bolani (stuffed flatbread) and chai were fresh, comforting, and full of local flavor, but nothing too extraordinary. The experience was authentic, though basic.
Food
I stayed at a mid-range hotel near the city center, which had decent amenities but was a bit outdated. The staff were friendly, and the location was convenient for sightseeing, though the comfort level could be improved.
Accomodation
Babur’s Gardens were a beautiful, peaceful escape from the city's bustle. The historical significance of the gardens and the view from Babur’s tomb were impressive, and the National Museum was a fascinating dive into Afghan history. However, the museum could use better preservation and clearer displays.
