My destination, Liberty Hotels Lykia, nestled between the towering mountains and the crystal-clear sea, offered the perfect blend of relaxation and luxury. With panoramic views, multiple pools, and easy access to the beach, the resort provided an idyllic escape for the start of my trip.

After settling into my room, I made my way to the iconic Ölüdeniz Beach, famed for its calm waters and powdery white sand. The gentle waves and the peaceful Blue Lagoon made it perfect for swimming and unwinding by the shore. However, the highlight of my day was undoubtedly paragliding from Babadağ Mountain. Soaring through the sky, the panoramic views of the Blue Lagoon beneath me were unforgettable. The sense of freedom and the incredible scenery combined to create a once-in-a-lifetime experience that set the tone for the exciting days ahead in Muğla.

Day 2 Exploring Fethiye and Its Wonders

The second day began with a hearty Turkish breakfast at the hotel, featuring a variety of local delicacies such as fresh olives, cheeses, honey, and menemen (scrambled eggs with tomatoes and peppers). Feeling energized, I headed to explore the charming town of Fethiye, known for its rich blend of history and natural beauty. My first stop was the Fethiye Museum, where I immersed myself in the region’s ancient past. The view from the site was incredible, and standing near these ancient tombs made me feel deeply connected to Fethiye’s history. For lunch, I visited the lively Paspatur Market, where I enjoyed a meal of freshly caught seafood at a cozy, local restaurant tucked away in a narrow alley. To wrap up the day, I embarked on a boat trip around Fethiye Bay, cruising past small islands and coves. Watching the sunset from the deck was the perfect end to a peaceful and enriching day, as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow across the sea.
